About a week ago, I gave the tip of making sure you have completed your yearly dryer vent maintenance. Clogged dryer vents are a major fire hazard. My maintenance tip for today is for you to test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Click that test button! If you have not replaced the batteries in your detectors within the last year, today is a great day to do so!
Did you know that detectors have an expiration date? Most detectors need to be replaced within 7 to 10 years.
