Dryer vents should be a high-priority task when you are completing routine house maintenance checks. Clogged dryer vents are a fire hazard. Some signs that your dryer vent may be clogged are: longer drying times, excessive heat in your laundry room or laundry space, and debris and lint buildup around the lint filter. You should clean your dryer vent at least yearly. Be sure to also check the vent opening on the outside of your home to remove any debris.
